We’re pleased to add reflexology to our treatment menu at The Remedy Room, with our in house reflexologist, Sarah.
Reflexology feels like a natural extension of our existing treatment philosophy at The Remedy, enhancing our holistic approach, which we know our skincare and facial clients already know and love.
Extending our ethos
The Remedy Room is built around our eco-conscious ethos, offering holistic inspired beauty where we believe skin health is connected to overall wellbeing. We believe in supporting our wellbeing, instead of forcing change, which we already offer through our sustainable skincare brands, our non-invasive facials, our red light therapy and mindful yet restorative treatment experiences, workshops and events.
At The Remedy Room, treatments are not about correction, it’s about supporting wellbeing, restoring balance, and promoting relaxation.
Why reflexology
Our clientele have shown an interest in increasing our treatment menu, with a focus on managing stress, overwhelming and various lifestyle and life stages.
While skin concerns can be addressed and influenced by lifestyle factors, such as stress, poor sleep and hormonal imbalance, we wanted to offer a gentle therapy that could work alongside facial treatments, or as a treatment in its own right.
Reflexology seemed to be a natural fit for us to explore that sits within our ethos - it’s non-invasive, gentle, relaxing, rooted in holistic wellbeing and encourages clients to slow down and take time for themselves.
What is reflexology?
In short, reflexology is a complementary therapy involving pressure applied to specific points on the feet. These points are traditionally believed to correspond with different areas of the body.
This relaxing treatment aims to promote relaxation and support overall wellbeing. Most people choose reflexology for its deeply calming effect.
At The Remedy Room, reflexology is offered lying down on one of our cosy treatment beds, promoting that relaxation further.
Why do clients love reflexology?
Since Sarah has been offering reflexology, clients have felt nurtured and cared for, deeply relaxed, more rested, and a sense of taking a pause from everyday life.
While reflexology isn't intended to diagnose or treat medical conditions, many people choose it as part of their self-care routine because of the opportunity it provides to unwind, reset and reconnect with themselves.
Bringing it back to skincare
At The Remedy Room, we want our clients to feel connection between their skincare and treatments, and that includes reflexology.
Healthy skin can thrive when we are well rested and less stressed. Creating calm, mindful moments for ourselves are important for wellbeing, and we recommend enjoying reflexology before or after your facial treatment, after a red light therapy session, or as a monthly ritual while enjoying good skincare at home.
If you've been curious about reflexology, we'd love to welcome you into the treatment room and introduce you to this wonderfully restorative therapy with Sarah. Book your appointments via the Fresha app or by popping in to see us at The Remedy, Elm Road, or at The Remedy Room at Leigh Marina.
Whether you’re seeking a little more balance, looking to enhance your skincare journey, or simply craving an hour of uninterrupted calm, reflexology may be the perfect addition to your self-care routine.
**Reflexology isn’t a medical treatment and shouldn’t be used to directly treat medical concerns - please contact your GP or healthcare provider for any specific medical concerns you have.
